Packt Publishing has generously donated a handful of copies of their latest Magento book, called “Magento 1.3: PHP Developer's Guide”. The Magento User Guide makes no mention of either. My guess is that it's considered beyond the scope of that manual. VERY CONFUSING, different title, different cover, different total page count… as seen on Amazon or Borders websites.
